Verdi
Giuseppe Verdi, was born either the ninth or tenth of October in the year 1813, and he lived until the twenty-seventh of January in the year 1901 – he was eighty-eight years old, and he was one of the premiere composers of his time; in fact, his influence as a composer could still be heard today and not just among the compositions that were crafted during his time. This was because Giuseppe Fortunino Francesco Verdi had an ear for music and narrative that few people at that time could compare to. It is therefore no surprise that up until today, Giuseppe Verdi is recognized as a composer of the Romantic period who should never be ignored in the study of music. More important than the form of his works is feelings that they invoke in people. In this way, Verdi could most definitely be called a genius.
While it is true that Giuseppe Verdi composed many pieces, it is for his operas that he is most celebrated. Most opera houses and opera companies today still have performances of his work every single year. More than just his music, it is the timeless themes that Verdi had chosen to inspire his music that has proven that he is worthy of being one of the greats of the history of music.
