DOCSIS 3.1 Support
The DOCSIS 3.1 standard supports up to 10 Gb/s download and 1 Gb/s upload speeds. Since the technology is backwards compatible, upgrading to a DOCSIS 3.1 modem means you can still use your current internet service and be ready when your service provider upgrades to DOCSIS 3.1.
Works with Your Wi-Fi Router
Use an Ethernet cable to connect the CM1200 cable modem output port to the WAN port of your existing Wi-Fi router, Wi-Fi system, or directly to your computer.
Link Aggregation
Support for link aggregation allows for WAN speeds up to 2 Gb/s with a compatible router and internet service plan.
Multi-IP Address Support
The CM1200 supports up to four public IP addresses (WAN IP) with a Comcast Business account, giving you the ability to host multiple servers, such as email, website, or VPN gateway servers. Multi-IP address support also helps to address the challenges of NAT (Network Address Translation) configuration for video conferencing. A Comcast Business service plan is required, and an additional fee may apply.
ISP Compatibility
The CM1200 works out of the box with internet cable services such XFINITY from Comcast, Spectrum, and Cox. You can easily self-activate the modem without placing a service call.
