Dust may seem harmless, but it's the archenemy of electronic equipment. It even affects the performance of CD and DVD players. That's because the inside of a disc player is not airtight. Every time you open the disc tray or put in a disc, the laser lens is exposed to airborne contaminants. Static also builds up on the lens, attracting dust like a magnet. That static, dust, dirt, and debris can prevent the laser from properly reading the data on your disc. The Ultra ProLens Cleaner from Allsop uses carbon fiber technology to dissipate static while grabbing dust and debris from the lens. 8 staggered brushes located on the surface of the cleaning disc progressively pass over the laser lens to clean the entire surface. The cleaning process takes only a fraction of a second, and once done, can actually help prolong the life of your disc player. The disc's audio instructions also provide guidance on how to adjust various audio system settings. This will help each system sound its best while taking into account the different playback environments.
