The QFX Retro-40 is a Bluetooth-enabled cassette tape recorder housed in a vintage shoebox enclosure design. Record to cassette tapes from line level sources (CD, radio, etc.) or create voice memo recordings using its built-in microphone. Retro-40 brings modern conveniences for wireless music listening through its ability to pair to Bluetooth-enabled devices. You can also play music files stored on USB drives and even create custom music mix cassette tapes from music stored on and played from the USB drive. The Retro-40 also travels well since it can be powered using either its AC adapter or from 4 C batteries (not included).

  • Bluetooth® streaming from your paired Bluetooth®-enabled devices
  • 3.5-in. speaker to hear cassette tapes, Bluetooth® audio, MP3 files, and line-level devices
  • Built-in internal microphone for recording dictation
  • 1-touch record button plus play, rewind, fast forward, stop/eject, and pause; auto-stop when tape end is reached
  • Volume control is to control playback level only
  • USB port for playback of MP3 files stored on a USB drive

  • Line/aux input to connect line-level devices like a portable music player or audio system so you can hear through the player’s speaker; can also be used to feed external audio to create your own custom-mix cassette tapes
  • Low-impedance microphone can be plugged into line input but will auto-disconnect the built-in microphone
  • Line output to feed audio to another audio system
  • Pull-out handle makes it easy to carry to different locations
  • Operates on AC power or optional 4 C batteries (sold separately)
