The Tripp Lite by Eaton U209-000-R USB A-Male to RS-232 DB9-Male Serial Adapter Cable allows you to connect a 9-pin RS-232 serial device to a computer or laptop with a USB Type-A port. It connects modems, PDUs, network switches, console servers and other serial devices at data transfer speeds up to 230 Kbps, which is twice as fast as a built-in serial port. No external power is required, and the compact 5-ft. cable tucks away conveniently in your backpack or laptop bag for easy traveling. The U209-000-R blocks disruptive EMI (electromagnetic interference) and RFI (radio frequency interference) line noise that can disturb your network equipment and inflict hardware damage or data loss. Premium double-shielding eliminates crosstalk and helps your connected components perform better and last longer. It works with most major operating systems, including Windows 2000 through 11, macOS 10.6 through 12.4, and Linux Redhat 7.3, 8.0 and 9.0.
